Bobby Roan

Coach Bobby boasts a rich and varied baseball career that spans playing, coaching, and training. His collegiate playing days took place at Lakewood Community College and the University of Wisconsin River Falls, where he honed his skills and passion for the game.

In coaching, Bobby’s accomplishments are equally impressive. He began his coaching career at Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona, before making a significant impact as a graduate assistant at the University of Arizona in 1986. That year, he was part of the team that clinched the NCAA College World Series title, marking a high point in his coaching journey.

Bobby also owned and operated Roan Baseball Softball Training for 11 years, where he developed many successful high school players who advanced to play at collegiate and even professional levels. His training philosophy emphasizes the connection between a player’s vision and their swing mechanics. By focusing on how the eyes track the ball and the hands execute the swing, Bobby helps players improve their timing and contact.

His coaching tenure includes head coaching roles at Kishwaukee Community College and McHenry Community College. Under his leadership, both programs enjoyed successful seasons and saw numerous players move on to four-year institutions.

Bobby's dedication to coaching is driven by his love for working with passionate players who are eager to elevate their skills. His extensive experience and commitment make him a valuable mentor in the world of baseball and softball.
