Sam Stout
Coach Sam brings a deep passion for softball and a dedication to player development to her coaching role. With 17 years of experience in the sport, including time spent in travel ball, high school, and collegiate softball, Sam has a well-rounded background that enriches her coaching.
A Clarke University alum, Sam played four years of college softball at the Dubuque, Iowa institution, where she refined her skills and deepened her love for the game. Following graduation, Sam transitioned into coaching, now with two years of experience at the high school level and a year of giving private lessons.
Sam's coaching philosophy centers on ensuring players have fun while improving their skills. She believes that each lesson should be enjoyable and educational, focusing on fundamentals like footwork and mechanics before advancing to more complex techniques. Her goal is for every player to leave each session having learned something new and having enjoyed their time on the field.
Sam's commitment is evident in her daily enthusiasm. She relishes the opportunity to introduce new drills and watch her players progress, aiming to help them reach the level of play she once achieved in college.
